As business leaders we know a ‘set & forget’ approach rarely works, especially in technology where the pace of change & potential risks are significant. Yet it’s an area that often gets little more than a cursory (or cursed?) nod until it stops working or growth stalls, particularly at Executive or Board level. Why?
Whilst the industry, headcount & culture vary, the challenge usually boils down to lack of specialist knowledge, overcommitment of resources (eg. ‘too many hats’) or poor planning. Often, it’s all 3! Add to this the difficulty of navigating a global pandemic we didn’t see coming & it’s no wonder management of critical IT issues like cybersecurity & risk mitigation is less than robust.
This is why I do what I do.
As a strategic IT advisor who has successfully built & led technology companies for over a decade, I have a rich understanding of business at every level. From entrepreneurs to owners to C-suite & Boards, I love collaborating with individuals & teams to decipher often complex technology & deliver strategic, plain English solutions.
